Design Process

1. INITIAL CONSULTATION
The initial element of our garden design service is an on-side consultation visit. The designer will view the area
concernedand discuss your ideas, tastes and requirements for the project. After the consultation the designer
will have a much better sense of what you are trying to achieve withinyour garden.

2. SITE SURVEY
At this stage I would need to acquires a full survey of your garden or landscape (including existing building,
boundaries,levels, trees and other elements)

3. CONCEPT PROPOSAL
The concept proposal is drafted in pencil and in scale. I will make sure that every element of your wish list of
featuresis included (e.g. Water features, materials, plants, shapes, colours etc. I will give you further ideas;
show you typesof materials in catalogue, samples, photographs and colour schemes to bring the design to life.

4. MASTERPLAN
All of my designs are hand-drawn. The masterplan is a final layout of the design intention of a project and
containsinformation about the details of materials, design elements and any other information required to
communicatethe overall design.

5. CONSTRUCTION DRAWING
Provides all the details to build new features (steps, pergolas, wall, water feature etc). The detailed drawing
mayalso include layout drawing for irrigation and electric system. I can provide lighting plans ourselves
or invitespecialist lighting designer on board for clients who have specialist requirements.

6. PLATING DESIGN
Plant choice is always based on site suitability and design, clients preferences of types of plants, their sizes
and colours. A planting design will be drawn to show how plants will be arranged, a planting schedule
(full list oft names of plants, their sizes and quantities) and elevation of the plants.

7. PLANT SUPPLYING, PLANTING, LYING TURF and COMPOSITING
All plants are sourced from specialist nurseries, which provide strong and healthy plants. We will create a new
lawn and a nutrient rich bedding for the plants (supplying high quality compost, top soil etc).

8. PROJECT CONSULTANCY
Izabela is also available for clients’ specific needs which may be consultation for elements that may be outside
of your main garden design project brief, such as selection of garden furniture, special feature pieces,
construction elements, etc.

9. PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICE
We offer project management service to take away the stress of the build from start to finish. Clients may
also wish to undertake some or all of the proposed work themselves or to use their own contractor(s).
I offer consultancy during the work process (see if work is being carried out according to the project design)

10. ACCEPTANCE FORM and PAYMENT
The acceptance form must be signed before work begins. (two copies: one for the client, one for the designer).
Payment is due on completion of the presentation plan – masterplan and after every additional service is carried out.
